Small things and big ones. A fountain, the sky. What we see, the places we live in.

And working on changing things now that the new year is aproaching, because years of tai chi have taught me that change is the only constant in life.

054 - Prints for Christmas

When I started with this blog I said that it was, mostly, an experiment, a place to pick and choose what pictures I would use for a small fanzine, something like a visual diary from my trip to Iceland. It has changed and evolved because I've been learning screen printing, something I loved before but now that I know the basics and I can do it myself, I simply adore.

Here's a sneak peak of said 'experiment' being finished, my gift for family and friends this christmas. I'll share more pictures (and of better quality) of it soon enough.

A year with a camera.

On November last year I purchased my ZenitB on ebay and after a silly stunt with not loading the roll correctly, by december I was already taking pictures with it. So it's been a year since I started shooting film (more or less). It's been an interesting year, I think that with all the mistakes I've made I've also learned a lot of things.

This year I want to learn how to shoot portraits and people. I'm sure it will be really fun.

There's not many days left until it's Christmas and I'm almost finished with my self-made gifts that I hope I can show you when it's done because it's the reason this blog exists... so, until then, *Merry Christmas* and thank you to all of you, I just love reading you, learning from you, talking to you. You are the best Christmas gift ever.

My brother left Barcelona years ago and went to live up in the Pyrinees, in a really tiny village were, I think, live no more than 50 people. The sort-of-bigger village nearby his place is a strip of houses in a valley following a river (now there's a road too) with mountains behind, called Sort (wich means "luck" by the way). It's a *very* small place for someone from a city (when I say a strip I really mean a strip) but there's a lot of people around, and the mountains around are gorgeous.

I took this as a dare to myself, I like taking pictures of people but for some reason I feel shy doing it. This were snaped in a span of 5 to10 minutes. My creep was on, but I loved catching people in the streets.

These are the last pictures I took in my parents little town this past summer. The first two are from the gardens of a really beautiful private school. The last three I took following one of the irrigation canals, narrow and difficult to walk and with a few old washing sinks. There were only kids with skates and wild cats. And me and my parents. It was great.

It's strange to see all this sunny pictures and think about how I simply couldn't breathe due the heat, when it's so cold now and every time I go outside I to feel the cold air in my face.

Burned, of course.

PS: By the way, there might be a few changes in here, nothing really serious, but life is slowly shaping into something else.

A room with a view.

When I started taking photos with my Zenit B I've discovered that my uncle was actually quite an enthusiast of analogue. I've been asking him lots of questions until finally, I've decided to ask him for one of his cameras, an Olympus OM10. I'm in love with it. I mean, the Zenit has a certain magic *something*, but this Olympus is soooo easy to use (hello photometer!) and it kind of gets what I want, or maybe is that I get how to better use it.

Do you have cameras with personalities too? XD

PS: Btw, if I have you in flickr... I'm so sorry for the photo dump, my internet acces has been spotty to say the least and I went a bit nuts.

A closed water irrigation system in a park and water lilys. Taken while in a picnic with friends, and were a japanese tourist and me went a bit nuts trying to catch the colors and hues of the greens and greys of the water.

Enjoy your weekend!

This past september I attended two different weddings, one was, probably, one of the poshiest affairs I've ever been, the other, the hippiest. These pictures are from the second one in which we partied in the middle of the country in my best friend's Masia, one of my favorite places in the world.
