094 - MADRID II (TODOS LOS SANTOS)

O-087

Todos los Santos changes and the 2th becomes the day of the souls, Día de los Muertos. Today I had lunch with some of my family, the family that I still have from my biological father, and we all said goodbye and because we are sort of loud but not overly sentimental some things my aunt said surprised me a lot. And I'm happy because due the divorce and my biological father estrangement I always feel sort of alone on these occasions, even if I know it's not intentional, I'm always on my own when I'm with them. My mum has, obviously, another life now and my brother has distanced himself, so the family bonds I have when I'm with them are somewhat thinner... and that feels lonely. It's quite curious I can be social and talkative, but I have these spells were I just disconnect, and my mind goes elsewhere; I'm the quiet girl, the good girl, so, a lot of times I don't know if they even like me as I don't engage all that much. And today I felt appreciated and valued by my aunt, and understood. And that's a wonderful feeling.

Enjoy the change that comes from autumn, and enjoy your families, doesn't matter the form they have.

This is what happens when you let me up on the observation tower with a camera: I go nuts and the nice people who use all digital look at me weird because they hear the click-and-wirr sound that my analogic makes. I like my corner.

One of the things that I adore is having meals with my friends; not surprisingly, breakfast, brunch, whatever you want to call it, is one of my favorites. Last weekend a friend of mine, and one of the loveliest people I know, came from Girona so we could go to a Block Party + Escort concert at Razzmatazz. We stayed up dancing until 4 or 5 in the morning and we slept wonderfully. Next morning we woke fantastic, no joke, despite the amount of gin & tonics we drank, so we went to brunch-breakfast together. It was sunny and warm, you know those bright days were is almost  mandatory to stay outside? that's how it felt.

I love those kind of sundays.

I've been trying to catch the contrast of green against concrete, city plants and trees. I don't think of it as a series but it will certainly be a theme.

ZenitB again. Complete love.

074 - Portraits I

O-074

I'm cleaning up (my flickr, my blog, etc.), I'll keep at it for while, I guess, same as I'm doing with the rest of my everyday things. Spring cleaning for a big chance.

Also, I have to return my Olympus, my uncle wants it back, so I'm window shopping for another second hand film camera... and there's so many! Any recomendations?

The last time I went to my friend's country house, I couldn't help being panoramic, I took this scenery photos because the view is always spectacular. This time I decided to be more personal if I could, more intimate, and to try something I'm not really all that comfortable, the vertical. I was lucky though, because the light was simply amazing. They feel much more like me.
