I'm a bit mad actually.

I bought a cheap and small camera from an ebay store that I actually trust, a lovely Olympus AF10 with flash that I planned to have always in my bag, and all the test rolls I've been trying with it were, apparently, "not exposed" (including the ones I took at Primavera Sound, which, grrrr).

The thing is that the lab I've been going for the negatives has been returning me quite a few of my rolls completely blurred and saying they were "not exposed" which, ok, if it happens once, not a problem, I might have made a mistake, but when it happens like 5 times and with different cameras... well, now something is going on.

I wasn't sure if the problem was the camera, the rolls I've been using, me, or them... so I decided to change labs, just in case. I went today for the negatives at the new place and they didn't have a single problem. What's more, they actually did a better job, even with the packaging and the storage. Once is not a pattern, I know, but, right now I think I'll work with them and see what happens.

  1. Love all the warm tones in these photos :)

I've been using the same Fnac lab for years and, fortunately, it's been a good relationship so far (knock on wood!).

    1. Thank you :)

Lucky! I don't know what happened, really, but thinking about it now I realized they messed up five rolls...

    2. i hate when labs kill negatives with negligence and it happens more that it should :)

i think if the new place did a fine job this time, maybe you should maybe give them a try to continue to do better :)

    3. Yeah, it sucks and with one of the last ones they didn't even tell me what was wrong, not even an explanation... they didn't care.

I'll keep with the new place, I hope they keep working like up until now.

  2. I'm glad that you've found a better lab! I totally understand how you feel, after my usual lab had stopped developing all the other (very few) labs have been nothing but overpriced and unprofessional.

    1. Me too, they work for this tiny shop that specializes in weird and awesome things, including a lot of analogue photography, so I hope it keeps working out! I'm sorry you haven't found a good lab though..

  5. I love this selection of photographs and I cannot wait for more of them to come!
I'm glad you've found a lab that knows how to do their job properly - the deal with the previous one was really unfortunate!
